Docs MCP
Your docs, inside your users' editor.
Every public assistant on Starter and up gets a read-only MCP server. Cursor, Claude Code, Codex and VS Code search your docs with it and cite the page, so your users' coding agents stop guessing your API.
1. The endpoint
One URL per assistant, using its slug. No API key: it only exposes what your public widget already answers from.
https://almanzor.cloud/api/mcp/docs/<assistant-slug>- The assistant is active and public (internal assistants never get a docs MCP).
- Your organization is on Starter or Pro.
- Your docs are in the assistant's knowledge base: import your docs URL or upload files to RAG.
You'll find your exact URL and snippets in the portal, under Developers.
2. Add it to an editor
Copy-paste setup for the four most common MCP clients. Any client that supports remote HTTP MCP servers works.
{
"mcpServers": {
"acme-docs": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://almanzor.cloud/api/mcp/docs/your-assistant"
}
}
}3. One tool: search_docs
Input: query (natural language) and an optional limit (1–10, default 5). Output: numbered excerpts with their page URL, plus an instruction to cite them and not to guess when the docs don't cover it.
Results from the Acme docs for "paginate list endpoints":
[1] https://docs.acme.dev/api/pagination (relevance 0.82)
List endpoints return up to 100 items. Pass the `cursor` from the previous response…
[2] https://docs.acme.dev/api/errors (relevance 0.61)
A 400 with code invalid_cursor means the cursor expired…
Answer only from these excerpts and cite them as [n] with their URL. If they don't answer the question, say the docs don't cover it.4. Tell your users

## Use our docs in your AI editor
Our docs are available as an MCP server, so Cursor, Claude Code, Codex and VS Code
can search them while you code. Add this server to your editor:
https://almanzor.cloud/api/mcp/docs/your-assistant
It's read-only and needs no API key.Good to know
- Does it count against my conversations?
- No. Docs searches don't create conversations, so they don't use your monthly quota.
- Rate limits
- 60 requests per minute per IP address and assistant.
- Citations
- Pages imported from a URL keep their own URL. Uploaded files are cited by file name. Re-import a URL imported before this feature to get page-level links.
- Managing assistants from your editor
- That's a different, private MCP server for your team, with an API key. See the API docs.
